Matt Bender, MBA

Matt Bender is Chief Executive Officer of Insight Therapeutics, LLC. He has over two decades of experience in leadership and business development across the healthcare industry. Matt joined Insight to lead the company’s expansion of its research capabilities. Prior to Insight, Matt was Senior Vice President, Life Sciences Growth at Arcadia, a leading solutions provider for population health, healthcare analytics and value-based care. Matt was responsible for all life science commercial activities including business development, alliance management, contracting and sales operations. At Arcadia, his leadership and focused execution helped secure key agreements with selling partners and vastly expanded Real-World Data (RWD) sales. Matt’s expertise in Real-Word Evidence (RWE) generation was shaped during his tenure at Optum, where he was Vice President of Business Development for the Life Sciences division. While at Optum, he led growth teams providing RWE and RWD solutions across the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. Matt's teams consistently exceeded aggressive growth targets, earning him the North Star Award, an exclusive recognition for Optum's top sales leaders. Before Optum, Matt was at GE Healthcare where he began his corporate career. He started in GE’s acclaimed Six Sigma Black Belt program before progressing into account management and enterprise sales roles, where he delivered solutions to increase revenue, cost savings and productivity for large, integrated delivery network clients. He joined GE after serving honorably as a Civil Engineer officer in the US Air Force. Matt earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Arizona State University-Tempe. He lives in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with his wife and four children. In his spare time, he enjoys being active outdoors, traveling abroad and spending time with family and friends.
